Kobo no Watashi
The starting point of the Rokujurigoe Kaido that is said to have been where Kobo Daishi started his journey towards Mt. Yudono.
About the place.
This is the start of the pilgrimage towards Mt. Yudono from the coastal side of the Yamagata Prefecture.
Good to know:
From this point to the next point (Matsune Hachiman Shrine), it is all paved roads. We recommend people to only hike from this point if subscribed to one of our self-guided tours, so we can provide them with electric bicycle to make the journey more pleasant.
